Top marks for offer acceptance and external hiring

A global pharmaceutical company, sought a collaborative partner with the ability to provide a high-touch solution and expand globally. Executive leadership required an optimised solution designed for their EMEA workforce, yet powerful enough to serve as the success blueprint for other geographies.

They had already tried RPO twice, but their previous solutions had fallen short. A radical improvement was required.

Journey to success

Following a massive restructure across the UK and Ireland, the client engaged us to hire directors and manufacturing clinical specialists. We assigned an offsite recruiter to fill vacancies left from the previous RPO vendor.

Hiring volumes unexpectedly began to climb as more of their employees accepted redundancy offers extended during the restructure. One recruiter soon had 70 open requisitions.

In response, we urgently hired another recruiter and mobilised the Sourcing Centre of Excellence. The team of one grew to a team of four. Within a few months, we hired a permanent onsite recruiter to help meet demand.

We now hire 150 people per year for the client.

What’s especially great is that 92 per cent of external hires have been sourced through direct or referral channels, with only one role hired via an agency.

Even better, our 94 per cent offer acceptance rate beat the 90 per cent target, and we’ve achieved a 100 per cent candidate satisfaction score for external hires.

Project expansion

Beyond the UK and Ireland, our talent solution soon grew to include the Nordics. The partnership is also exploring the potential to launch into the Americas and other regions.
