Top-class experiences in early-career talent sourcing
Hi, Aniq. Thanks for taking the time to share your story. Let’s start by asking, what led you to Hudson RPO?
I come from a customer service background. Hudson RPO was looking for someone to join as a talent sourcer and a former colleague was already working here so she referred me.
How has your role changed since joining the team?
I joined Hudson RPO with no experience in recruitment and sourcing. However, I managed to learn quite a lot during my time here and am still learning. I have worked on various recruitment projects in IT, retail and banking. I now work in pharmaceutical recruitment.
Having become an experienced member of the team, I enjoy helping up-skill the wider Centre of Excellence, with a particular focus on providing world-class talent sourcing. I do this using the knowledge I gain from being involved in the wider sourcing community, for example by representing Hudson RPO at SOSUEU 2019, and also by competing in global sourcing challenges outside of work.
Tell us more about your current role as a Talent Acquisition Sourcer. What are your responsibilities?
I am currently working on Ipsen. My main mission is to find top talent for departments like regulatory affairs, production, pharmaceutical development, etc. This involves taking briefs from hiring managers and then sourcing candidates by using different job boards, social media, X-ray searching, Google CSE. My role also involves being a talent adviser for hiring managers. As a talent adviser, I provide insights into market activity and industry trends. Additionally, from the end of 2019, I have started to train new joiners on talent sourcing.
What are your areas of expertise within the industry?
I would say sourcing and continuously finding new ways to source great talent. It’s an ongoing learning process.
What motivated you to join the industry?
To be honest, I never had a good idea of what sourcing was before joining Hudson RPO, but I was interested in the recruitment industry in general. Hudson RPO was offering a good opportunity to join the industry and build up the experience.
What do you think are the best points about working here?
The team is great. Management is also supportive, friendly, and transparent.
